Just when I thought I had found every treasury there was to find...

This page represents three issues I recently found of the British series Huckleberry Hound Weekly, a sixteen-page anthology title that ran for 308 issues. Yes, 308 issues.

Featuring eye-popping color covers (front and back) and centerfold, these are wonderfully charming little publications. Obviously, at 308 issues (and only released in the UK, yet) I can't possibly hope to get every issue of this series, but I decided to give the series its own page here on the site, in case I'm fortunate enough to find more issues down the line.

This issue featured a letters page, Snagglepuss, a serialized Jonny Quest strip, puzzle/activity pages, Yogi Bear, Loppy de Loop,The Impossibles, Mr. Jinks, and Snooper and Blabber.

Huckleberry Hound Weekly #289 - April 17, 1967

As you can see from the cover, the arrival of Space Ghost (or "The Space Ghosts") was a big deal--all the other characters were temporarily bumped off the front cover (even the title stars) so Space Ghost could be featured as prominently as possible.

This issue features Snooper and Blabber, Jonny Quest. Huckleberry Hound, Space Ghost (in the color centerfold spot), The Impossibles, The Flintstones, Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy,Yakky Doodle and Chopper, and Snagglepuss.

Huckleberry Hound Weekly #290 - April 24, 1967

This issue sports a clearly off-model cover, and a kind of violent one, too--Fred smashing Barney over the head with a club! That's almost worse than when they were selling cigarettes!

This issue features The Impossibles, The Flintstones, Augie Doggy and Doggie Daddy, Snooper and Blabber, Space Ghost (still colored green), Yakky Doodle and Chopper, Huckleberry Hound, Jonny Quest, and Snagglepuss.
